Chef Jeff Vincent is at it again with a how-to video on his unforgettable candied bacon recipe. These heavenly strips of bacon are smoky, salty, sweet, and make the perfect complimentary paring for Maple Bacon Coffee Porter.
1lb of Bacon (about 12 slices)
2 tbsp Maple Syrup
3/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Course Ground Coffee
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp Allspice
1/4 tsp Cayenne
1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
STEP 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
STEP 2: Mix all dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
STEP 3: Layout bacon and lightly drizzle both sides of the bacon with maple syrup.
STEP 4: Coat each slice of bacon generously with the dry rub mixture and shake out any excess rub.
STEP 5: Place the bacon on a wire rack that is on top of a baking tray and make sure that none of the bacon is overlapping.
STEP 6: Bake on the center oven rack at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes, then flip bacon over and bake for another 10-12 minutes.
STEP 7: When bacon is done, carefully remove bacon from pan and place on parchment paper to cool.
