We have learned to trust Elliot Wolf, the Fort Lauderdale restaurateur whose sense of taste and timing and all-around bonhomie seems to bring good things at each opportunity. So we’ll taste his oyster beer. Probably.

On Wednesday, Wolf will inaugurate a party he expects to be an annual event, the three-day Oyster Fest at G&B Oyster Bar on Fort Lauderdale beach. Not surprisingly, the festival will put the spotlight on the eponymous shellfish in a variety of settings.
