The crafty zen masters behind the Funky Buddha Brewery have concocted a new pairing for your beer: Southern-fried pub food.

On Wednesday, Nov. 11, Craft Food Counter and Kitchen will debut inside the popular Oakland Park tap room, touting a bill of bar bites and comfort-food dishes blended with the brewery's flagship beer flavors.

The man in charge of the menu is South Carolina chef Jeff Vincent, recently of the Atlantic Hotel and Spa's Beauty and the Feast, who hopped aboard the Buddha over the spring to "develop food that would parallel our beers perfectly," says KC Sentz, co-owner of the brewery with brother and brewmaster Ryan Sentz.

"When you have a brewer like Ryan, you don't want to stifle his creativity, and the same goes with Chef [Vincent]," Sentz says. "I didn't want to handcuff him in any way, and so our restaurant has some Southern twang to it.
