Despite the fact that it’s stout season in many parts of the country, Floridians are still staring at temperatures in the 80s. When shorts, sandals, and sunscreen are necessary in mid-December, it’s tough to reach for that bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout. Funky Buddha Brewery, based in Oakland Park, Florida, is, of course, aware that the thermometer rarely dips below 70 in its area. In response to that, the brewery created the aptly named Floridian, which is now one of its core beers. A hefeweizen, Floridian clocks in at 5.2% ABV and took home a gold medal in the wheat-beer style from the Florida Beer Championships in 2015.
