Funky Buddha Brewery, based in Oakland Park and known for its creative brews, has announced its 2016 release schedule. The top highlight is that the company is adding a third flagship beer: Hop Stimulator Double IPA.
It joins Hop Gun IPA and Floridian Hefeweizen as the three main beers from the company. (The calendar also has a place for a fourth "core brand" which could be out in June, according to the calendar graphic.)
The new beer, Hop Stimulator Double IPA, is described by the company as made with four types of hops (Amarillo, Centennial, Citra, and Cascade) and includes passionfruit, grapefruit, orange peel, and pineapple aromas with a crisp, malt body. This double India pale ale weighs in at an ABV of 9.5 percent. And it will make its debut on draft and in four-pack bottles in April.
