South Florida lovers of music and craft beer have something to rejoice on this National Beer Day.

Funky Buddha Brewery announced Monday it will co-host a South Florida beer and music festival this winter with one of the largest and best-respected craft beer brewers, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, which has long musical ties.

The Delaware-based Dogfish Head is the founding sponsor of the annual Firefly Music Festival, which this year features Paul McCartney, Kings of Leon and the Killers as headliners, as well a host of other big-name bands, from Hozier, Bastille and Modest Mouse to The Kooks, Awolnation and Cage the Elephant.

Sam Calagione, a six-time James Beard Award nominee for his creative beers as Dogfish Head’s owner/brewmaster, was at Funky Buddha’s main Fort Lauderdale brewery to make the announcement as he and Funky Buddha co-owner/brewmaster Ryan Sentz collaborated on a special-release beer.
