The City of Oakland Park in conjunction with The Funky Buddha Brewery are pleased to present the 12th Annual Oktoberfest taking place September 30th, October 1st and October 2nd at Jaco Pastorius Park. The City of Oakland Park is known for putting a twist in the traditional Oktoberfest celebration. Attendees can expect everything from dashing dachshunds to specially crafted seasonal beers, apple strudel eating contests and beer stein & beer barrel races.
The City of Oakland Park and Funky Buddha Brewery promise to turn their annual Oktoberfest celebration into one of the signature cultural entertainment events in South Florida. In addition to providing tasty craft beer, Funky Buddha will produce the event’s food – imparting scratch-made flavors from its Craft Food Counter & Kitchen located inside the brewery. Other Downtown Oakland Park Businesses already involved include Central Bark Doggy Day Care who will conduct the popular Central Bark Dachshund Dash.
Oakland Park’s Oktoberfest is considered one of the largest in Florida and the city looks forward to welcoming thousands of residents and visitors, according to Mayor Tim Lonergan, who as a native of Milwaukee is no stranger to events featuring beer, bratwurst and polka.
