HR Generalist

The HR Generalist, Funky Buddha Brewery, plays a vital role in the strategic, functional, and transactional support of Funky Buddha Brewery, a business unit within the Constellation Brands Craft & Specialty portfolio. This individual will support the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) with execution of day-to-day activities, and act as the local ‘boots on the ground’ and primary support contact. Duties will include administration of policies and procedures, establishing and maintaining efforts to enhance company culture, general client customer service and HR administration, procedure/process improvement, support for staffing & recruitment, wage & salary administration, employee relations, and compliance. In addition, the HR Generalist will assist with company-wide projects, reporting tasks, and activities, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all HR responsibilities within the brewery including but not limited to: day-to-day employee relations, assisting with performance management, compensation/benefits, coaching, employee engagement, employee development, and partnering with specialist teams to ensure true HR business partnership and customer service.

  • Field ad hoc requests from employees and work with the Employee Call Center (ECC) Team to provide assistance, as necessary (questions re: processes, benefits, PTO, leave, pay, open roles, etc.).

  • Utilize all-employee text message alert system, create/post flyers, and send e-mail correspondence to staff regarding important announcements.

  • Assist ECC Team and local leadership, as necessary, to ensure a warm and welcoming onboarding experience for all new hires by working with the new hire directly, coaching the hiring manager, answering questions and providing guidance, as necessary. Administer 90-day surveys to recent hires to obtain feedback on their introductory months of employment.

  • Administer various training efforts across the brewery, facilitating New Supervisor, Guest Service, Service Recovery, Feedback/Coaching sessions to appropriate team members, as well as ensuring annual required trainings are completed by all staff.

  • Receive and distribute biweekly paychecks to staff.

  • Responsible for working with ECC to ensure all employee file information is processed and recorded accurately in Workday: department transfers, salary changes, manager changes, promotions, terminations, new hires, etc. Obtains approval from appropriate stakeholders and HRBP, and then works with ECC and in Workday for processing and reporting.

  • Assist with recruiting efforts by identifying the need to fill a position, working with hiring managers to update or craft a job description, working with Comp to appropriately grade and scope role, working with Talent Acquisition and levering resources to post openings in Workday and elsewhere, and being final contact of the employee interview process, based on the open role and business needs.

  • Work with benefit administrator to manage annual open enrollment, employee disability & leave information, including supporting the interactive process in-person with inquiring employees.

  • Assist with termination process, to include requesting and reviewing paperwork, completing exit interviews, and ensuring termination is properly processed in all systems; work with manager to determine if role should be subsequently backfilled or closed.

  • Compile metrics reports for leadership team and corporate teams, as needed.

  • Partner with HRBP on employee relations investigations, as needed..

  • Support the delivery, feedback, and action planning of on-site employee recognition and team building activities, including celebrating employee birthdays and anniversaries, Happy Hours, annual holiday party, Buddha’s Best, and Caught Green Handed programs.

  • Ensure the facility is in compliance with current labor law postings.

  • Support HRBP and the leadership team in completion of these and other responsibilities as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years’ work experience in the Human Resources field

  • Bachelor’s degree required, professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred

  • Previous HR/HRIS system experience, preferably with Workday

  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion

  • Must be able to handle highly confidential information

  • Proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced, growing environment with very strong multi-tasking and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish assignments, with minimal supervision

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Street Teamers are tasked with helping to set-up, execute and break down beer samplings, activations, and festivals.

This particular Street Team position will be tasked with working multiple events weekly, approximately 20-25 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess an outgoing, charismatic personality with a deep desire to share the love that is craft beer. Knowledge of craft beer styles, history, and brewing techniques are a plus - but a yearning to continue learning about brewing and the beer business is required. This position will be located in the Orlando area, FL. Part-time benefits include paid time off, 401K, product allowance, and more as outlined in the employee handbook. Responsibilities include:

  • Work with our events manager to create compelling interactions with our customers

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time, hourly position as Accounting Clerk at Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park. Successful candidates will be a vital part of our brewery and contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Match PO’s, product receipts/bill of ladings & invoices for our multi-location facilities with an elevated level of accuracy and timeliness.

  • Assist with reconciling our month end inventory counts and researching discrepancies

  • Perform general accounting responsibilities and general ledger maintenance in accordance with Global Business Services service level agreements and internal controls

  • Analyze, create, review and post journal entries

  • Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations

  • Perform company close procedures

  • Analyze monthly results and adjust as appropriate

  • Assist with coordination and compilation of data for additional reporting and analysis as required

  • Support the documentation, reporting and achievement of monthly accounting metrics

  • Work with vendors and internal customers to resolve discrepancies

  • Record expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports

  • Input new vendors and customers into system by collecting, verifying and inputting appropriate data

  • Scheduling payments by check for vendors and responding timely to vendor inquiries regarding payment

  • Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION

The cashier's role is to ensure that each and every customer is served in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. This includes greeting customers as they approach the food counter, processing customer orders through the POS system, and notifying the kitchen staff of any special requests. This person will process customer transactions, resolve customer issues, and maintain his/her work area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet all customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Record customer orders into the POS System, ensuring each and every request is fully and accurately entered.
  • Inform kitchen staff, through the POS System or verbal communication, of customer special requests/adjustments.
  • Identify customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct them.
  • Perform returns and special transactions through the POS System.
  • Keep the "register station" stocked with all necessary items.
  • Clean and organize the "The Line" when necessary.
  • Notify management of all customer and POS System issues.
  • Consistently maintain a balanced cash drawer.

A lead brewer is responsible for leading and participating in all aspects of the brewing process including brewing, fermentation, cellaring, and finishing, as well as assisting with administrative and organizational duties. This employee must be a hard working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The candidate must be someone who leads by example in following procedure and policy, is proactive, and helps to maintain the highest standards of employee performance in the brewhouse. The candidate needs to be ready to be flexible in their schedule, and be available to work long hours if needed to get projects done and meet production schedules. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operating brewhouse and producing batches from start to finish
  • Assisting in organizing brewhouse operational schedule and projects
  • Ensuring continuity of the brewhouse operations, and coordinating them with other aspects of operations
  • Ensuring the maintenance and organization of all brewing related notes from brew day through fermentation, finishing, and packaging, and ensuring that these logs are maintained properly by brewing personnel.
  • Maintaining clean brewing practices in the brewhouse and cellar; organizing cleaning schedules and projects, and making sure they are followed
  • Following SOP (standard operating procedure) in each phase of brewing, fermentation, and packaging, and ensuring that others follow these procedures as well
  • Executing and organizing preventative maintenance on all brewhouse and cellar equipment, include detailed maintenance logs for all equipment
  • Informing and assisting Maintenance Staff in troubleshooting and fixing items as they come up, and following through to make sure the items are addressed
  • Assisting in the design, implementation and maintenance of safety programs throughout the brewery, and leading others to follow the safety guidelines through coaching and good example
  • Monitoring raw material inventory; weekly brewing ingredient and consumables inventory
  • Daily updating of the Chillertron (glycol control) and Ekos (brewery management software) systems
  • Training of new brewhouse employees; assist in cellar training
  • Spearheading projects related to brewing operations; planning, organization, execution and completion.
  • Must always be finding new ways to improve consistency, organization, cleanliness, and efficiency, and be able to report these strategies, implement and maintain them
  • Must always be a champion for following the rules and policies of the brewery, and must encourage this to others, both by example and vigilance
  • Assisting in the development of new recipes and improvement of existing recipes
  • Plan and brew pilot batches as needed
  • Assisting in any other areas or departments where extra help is needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Three years experience in a commercial production brewery or high-volume brew pub
  • A strong passion for brewing modern American beers as well as the desire to push the boundaries of experimental brewing
  • Strong organizational habits, a self-motivated work ethic, and good critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • An advanced understanding of all aspects of brewing including cellaring, yeast handling, CIP, and sanitization
  • Flexibility in terms of hours and a willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and overtime
  • Computer literate with an understanding of Microsoft Office/spreadsheet programs

  • Ability to work as part of a team

A cellar operator is responsible for all aspects of processes related to fermentation, conditioning, treatment, clarification, carbonation, and any other processes required to achieve a final product ready for packaging. This employee must be a hard working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public.   • Assistance with yeast handling and management
  • Cellaring duties including fermentation management
  • Operation of centrifuge for beer clarification
  • CIP (clean-in-place) of brewing and fermentation tanks, and other equipment
  • Logging of all brewing related notes from brew day through fermentation, finishing, and packaging
  • Following SOP (standard operating procedure) in each phase of brewing, fermentation, and packaging

We are seeking an immediate, part-time position as a tour guide here at the brewery. Tour guides conduct public and private tours of the brewery facility and spread the love of the Buddha to our thirsty visitors here in the tap room. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, charismatic personality with a deep desire to share the love that is craft beer. Knowledge of craft beer styles, history, and brewing techniques are a plus - but a deep desire to continue learning about brewing and the beer business is required. Must be able to speak comfortably to groups of 25 or more people and remain passionate, courteous, and friendly throughout. This job will require night and weekend hours, approx 20-25 hours/week.

  • 21+ years of age

  • A strong passion for craft beers as well as a knowledge of the brewing process, beer styles, beer presentation, and rudimentary beer dispense

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Busser with Funky Buddha Brewery, the candidate will work in the customer area of our tap room. Successful candidates will be a vital part of our busy tap room and contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning Tables - Busser will spend most of their shift cleaning tables. This involves waiting for those at the table to finish eating, then clearing all of the dirty plates, glasses and silverware. The busser then wipes down and sanitizes the table, as well as sweeps the floor and chairs to clean up any food spills. The busser must also circulate the tap room and help table maintenance during the guest dining experience.
  • Garbage Duty - Busser must empty all of the filled trash cans and replace the used bags. They must bring filled bags to a dumpster. Empty boxes should be broken down and brought to the box compactor.
  • Spills - Spills in the tap room should be mopped right away and have a wet floor sign out for display to notify guests.
  • Customer Service - When the tap room is very busy, bussers must often help inform guests of how our operation works.This requires that bussers are prompt and friendly, so having good communication skills is a must for the job.

A shift brewer is responsible for all aspects of the brewing process including brewing, fermentation, cellaring, and finishing. This employee must be hard working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operating brewhouse and producing batches from start to finish
  • Yeast handling and management
  • Cellaring duties including fermentation management
  • CIP (clean-in-place) of brewing and fermentation tanks, and other equipment

  • Following SOP (standard operating procedure) in each phase of brewing, fermentation, and packaging

  • Three years experience in a commercial production brewery or high-volume brew pub

  • Fill and sell growler orders.
  • Sell Funky Buddha Brewery’s merchandise.
  • Be knowledgeable about Funky Buddha Brewery’s beer and brewing process to share with customers. Also, be able to discuss the elements of craft beer to patrons.
  • Be willing to be trained on the art and science of craft brewing and craft beers.
  • Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system.
  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change, if applicable.
  • Clean bar area and glassware. Wash and sterilize glassware.
  • Clear and reset tables and clean bathrooms in tap room.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
  • Assist the restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to manager.
