Established in 2010 at its Boca Raton brewpub, Funky Buddha is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional brewing methods with culinary-inspired recipes utilizing all-natural, food-centric ingredients. JOB DESCRIPTION
A cellar operator is responsible for all aspects of processes related to fermentation, conditioning, treatment, clarification, carbonation, and any other processes required to achieve a final product ready for packaging. This employee must be a hard working, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beer and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The candidate should also be a sociable person who is comfortable occasionally representing the brewery in public. Natural leadership, integrity, loyalty, and a good sense of humor are all factors in who we hire.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assistance with yeast handling and management
- Cellaring duties including fermentation management
- CIP (clean-in-place) of brewing and fermentation tanks, and other equipment
- Operation of centrifuge for beer clarification
- Careful execution of treatment plans for specialty beers
- Logging of all brewing related notes from brew day through fermentation, finishing, and packaging
- Following SOP (standard operating procedure) in each phase of fermentation, clarification, carbonation and packaging
- Maintaining sanitary practices in all aspects of beer processing
- Executing preventative maintenance on all brewhouse and cellar equipment
- Preparation, filling, transfer of beer from liquor and wine barrels
- Assistance with lab testing and other Quality Assurance activities
REQUIREMENTS
- One year experience in a commercial production brewery or high-volume brew pub
- A strong passion for brewing and a desire to advance personal growth in the brewing industry
- Some understanding of brewing aspects, including cellaring, yeast handling, CIP, and sanitization
- Strong organizational habits, a self-motivated work ethic, and good critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Flexibility in terms of hours and a willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and overtime
- Computer literate with some understanding of Microsoft Office/spreadsheet programs
- Ability to multi-task

EXPERIENCE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING IS PREFERABLE:

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Retail Sales Associate with Funky Buddha Brewery, the candidate will work in the merchandise sales area of our tap room. The ideal candidate should be passionate about craft beer, be organized and efficient, and have excellent customer service skills. Additional responsibilities include:
- Provide excellent customer service to both walk-in and telephone guests
- Acting as a source for brewery knowledge for our customers and as a first point of contact for guests visiting our tap room
- Possess the ability to work with several guests at one time, while maintaining individual customer satisfaction
- Inform guests of any sales, specials or new merchandise offered and assist them with their selections
- Keeping merchandise area and drink cooler displays clean, organized, stocked and visually appealing
- Use POS to accept cash and credit card payments and keep the cash register totals accurate
- Assist with monthly inventory process
- Reduce loss by maintaining a watchful eye on the merchandise and processing accurate transactions
- Facilitate and help organize brewery tours, as well as set-up and staging of special events

The Sous Chef is responsible for ensuring that the food served always meets or exceeds standards of excellence at all times. The Kitchen Supervisor is the example of the standards at all times, whether it is cleanliness, productivity, organization, or food quality. JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all facility and equipment upkeep and repair. Candidates should:
- Possess great mechanical aptitude and work well hands-on
- Have knowledge and 3 years experience with plumbing, HVAC, glycol refrigeration, electrical, draft systems, heavy equipment operation
- Be able to use, fluently read and understand the function of measurement devices, including, but not limited to, tape measures, laser distance meters, measuring wheels, calipers (digital and analog), pressure gauges (metric and English), temperature gauges (Fahrenheit and Celsius), multimeters, balances (scales)
- Be familiar with basic hand tools and their uses
- Possess the ability to read and comprehend basic machine manuals and diagrams.
- Be able to learn how to systematically troubleshoot equipment
- Be able to follow through maintenance and repair assignments to completion
- Be able to clearly report on all tasks using email
- Be ready to assist in any operations around the facility as needed, including performing custodial duties and assisting in other departments
- Must be available to work on Saturdays every week
- Have good organization and communication skills

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Busser with Funky Buddha Brewery, the candidate will work in the customer area of our tap room. Successful candidates will be a vital part of our busy tap room and contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning Tables – Busser will spend most of their shift cleaning tables. This involves waiting for those at the table to finish eating, then clearing all of the dirty plates, glasses and silverware.
- The busser then wipes down and sanitizes the table, as well as sweeps the floor and chairs to clean up any food spills. The busser must also circulate the tap room and help table maintenance during the guest dining experience.
- Garbage Duty – Busser must empty all of the filled trash cans and replace the used bags. They must bring filled bags to a dumpster. Empty boxes should be broken down and brought to the box compactor.
- Spills – Spills in the tap room should be mopped right away and have a wet floor sign out for display to notify guests.
- Customer Service – When the tap room is very busy, bussers must often help inform guests of how our operation works.This requires that bussers are prompt and friendly, so having good communication skills is a must for the job.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Server with Funky Buddha Brewery, the candidate will work in the bar and guest areas of our tap room. Successful candidates will be a vital part of our brewery and will contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include:
- Serve Funky Buddha Brewery’s craft beers in the tasting room. Be able to answer questions and make recommendations regarding our beer selection.Fill and sell growler orders.
- Sell Funky Buddha Brewery’s merchandise.
- Be knowledgeable about Funky Buddha Brewery’s beer and brewing process to share with customers. Also, be able to discuss the elements of craft beer to patrons.
- Be willing to be trained on the art and science of craft brewing and craft beers.
- Record drink orders accurately and immediately into the Point of Sale system.
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change, if applicable.
- Clean bar area and glassware. Wash and sterilize glassware.
- Clear and reset tables and clean bathrooms in tap room.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to manager.
- Be familiar with Funky Buddha Brewery’s promotions and sales and assist with special events.
- Complete opening and closing duties under the direction of managers.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a valid, State of Florida approved, server training certification and/or be willing to successfully complete training provided by Funky Buddha Brewery.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant/tap room operations and service procedures.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Possess basic math skills, possess the ability to handle money and operate a cash register and POS system.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Punctual and regular, reliable attendance.
- Honesty and Integrity.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge. Experience with an iPad is a plus.
- Ability to work quickly, problem solve and think on your feet while maintaining poise in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, infectious attitude and sense of humor. Personable, kind, and customer service oriented.
- Passion for the service industry, desire to be part of a team and work hard, high level of self-awareness and long-term view of success.
- Well-versed in: beer history; brewing techniques; preparation techniques, styles, flavor profiles or possess a willingness to learn.
- Must be at least 21 years old.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Food Runner with Funky Buddha Brewery, the candidate will work in the customer area of our retail space (tap room, banquet space & barrel room). Successful candidates will be a vital part of our busy tap room and contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
· Food Runners main priority will be to provide our guests with outstanding customer service and actively help to improve their overall dining experience.
· Deliver food to all tables and bar (when applicable) timely and accurately.
· Food Runners act as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
· Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g., food allergies)
· Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g., proper temperature)
· Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
Additional Duties listed below:
· Clean and disinfect all areas
· Clean inside/outside expo station
· Always maintain sanitation area, always keep space presentable and safe and free of clutter
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Excellent customer service skills
· Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
· Completes all established set-up, stocking and closing duties in a timely manner
· Knows and adheres to health and sanitation guidelines and follows all safety policies
· Able to work nights and weekends
· Ability to lift 50 pounds
